Extended Stay America - Chicago - Lombard - Yorktown Center

I stayed here recently and the rooms were very spacious and clean. Very quiet location compared to others also the staff was wonderful the young woman Sara who checked me in was extremely friendly polite and helpful she gave all the information I needed for the amenities just overall a very welcoming experience I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 07/17/23: THE WORST PLACE I have ever stayed. I am not picky by any means and I don't have high standards but it was awful! They didn't have any comforters- we only had sheets on our bed. I went to the front desk and they said they were all out! Really! I asked for some extra towels so we could put that on the bed to keep warm but they said they were all out! Seriously! Had to go to Walmart to buy a cheap blanket to stay warm. There was nothing in the kitchen (no utensils, dishes, cups-not even disposal cups, pans, etc.). I asked why no towels, blankets, kitchen items- front desk person said-PEOPLE KEEP STEALING ALL OF THERE THINGS. The web site said they offered breakfast breakfast but not even close. They had a coffee maker, tea bags, 1 oatmeal packet in the lobby area. I asked the front desk and person said that sometimes they have a few muffins but that is hit or miss. This hotel needs to be shut down or at least up date their website advertisement to say something like, "Bring everything including a blanket and towels when you stay, your own creamer, and don't count on any free breakfast. " Be prepared if you stay here. PS: I feel sorry for the owners about all the stealing but they should at least let people know that their supplies (towel, comforters, disposable cups, etc) are scarce. I don't even know how they stay open.

I was in need of a place to stay and this was about the least expensive I could find where there would be an elevator if I was upstairs. Upon arrival I walked in and waited till the lady came out to help me. I gave her my name and she set me up with a fourth floor room. She also had to wait for me that their little machine that programs the key cards was out of order so I couldn't have a key to my room. Every time I wanted to get in and out I would have to come get her or whoever was working. The hope was that it would be fixed by the following day. The room was very basic but with a full kitchen. The kitchen is in stock with anything but they do have items available downstairs that you can borrow. There was plenty of space in the room for me to do everything I might need while I was in town. The room had recently been cleaned and every surface from counters to floors felt sticky to walk on or touch. There were also some real good stains on the carpeting. Several days into my visit I found out the hard way that the biggest stain on the floor was quite sticky. The bed was quite comfortable and there were ample towels in the bathroom. I was informed that I had to take out my own garbage and the cans were at the end of the hall. I have to say that the best part of my stay was that the employees were all very friendly. I was told they had a kind of grab and go breakfast in the mornings from 6:30 to 8:00 or 8:30. I was down there at about 7:00 a.m. the next morning and all they had was coffee and tea. I can't have either one. I think one day I noticed something else at the breakfast station. During my time in the room on multiple occasions the cable TV went out. One day the TV went out and then the power went out and came back. Just a little bit later the fire alarm went off and while everyone was gathering outside the tornado sirens went off. There was apparently a tornado heading right in our direction. Next time I go to stay in the area I will look for a different brand of hotel to try.
